Simply put, SecureFilePro is the easiest and most secure way of delivering those sensitive documents to us.

  2. Mail gets lost or goes otherwise undeliverable every day. With the Post Office processing over ½ Billion pieces of mail each day, even at a low loss rate of 0.001% — that's 5,000 pieces each day!

SecureFilePro is also far more convenient. You can upload / download files at any time! No need for appointments or driving to the office, or even the mailbox.

No. We understand that not everyone is comfortable with internet-based services, and, of course, we have clients who are not 'on-line'.

We make SecureFilePro available for your use, as a secure and convenient option. We encourage our clients to adopt secure habits in using the internet and want to help. However, we will be happy to work with you in the way in which you are most comfortable.

YES! We are confident that using SecureFilePro is far more secure than traditional means of exchanging sensitive information.

  1. All file uploads and downloads are handled through secure connections (https) utilizing industry-standard SSL certificates and tough encryption. Secure connections prevent prying eyes from reading your data while in transit (ie: Man-in-the-Middle attacks).
  2. While your files rest on the server, they remain encrypted using industry-standard, government-grade encryption.
  3. The SecureFilePro service is provided by Drake Software — an IRS-approved e-File transmitter.

SecureFilePro was designed as a Secure File Exchange service, not Cloud Storage. It is intended solely for use in securely exchanging files between McKernan Corp and our clients.

As such, storage space is limited. Files may be set to expire at a future date, and we may need to purge old files from time to time. Therefore, you should always retain copies of any files you send to us, and promptly download any files we upload for you.

No. As soon as you upload any files to the SecureFilePro server we will automatically be notified by email.

Whenever we upload a document or file to SecureFilePro for you, you will receive an email notification.

Whenever you download a document or file from SecureFilePro, we are notificed by email.

In addition, the SecureFilePro dashboard available to our staff, indicates if and when you downloaded each file.

Files may be set to expire at a future date. If a file is set to expire, the expiration date will be shown on the SecureFilePro dashboard.

Files that have not been set to expire will rest on the server for an indefinite period of time. From time to time, we will purge older files, but will always allow ample time for clients to download the files.

For these reasons, its important to always retain copies of any files you upload to us, and promptly download any files we upload for you.

Not to worry! The SecureFilePro sign-in screen includes a link to help with lost usernames and/or passwords.

If you have any problems, you can always contact us and we can reset your password for you.

You don't need the notification to download any files. The notification is sent simply to inform you of a waiting file. You can always sign-in to SecureFilePro, and navigate to the uploaded file directly.

However, if you prefer, simply let us know and we can re-send the notification.

Yes, although we encourage our clients to continue to use SecureFilePro, your account can be cancelled at any time. Simply let us know and we'll cancel the account for you.

When an account is cancelled, all details and uploaded files are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered..
